Small cell is poised to be a high growth market, providing low cost solution for ever increasing bandwidth needs. Azcom Technology Dual Mode (LTE/HSPA+) Reference Platform, based on Texas Instruments’ latest generation TCI6614 and TCI6618 System on Chip (SoC) solutions, provides all the major hardware/software functional blocks to jump start your small cell base station development. The platform supports multi-carrier HSPA+ systems as well as full rate, 20 MHz LTE systems using multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) and advanced receiver algorithms.
The platform includes:
- Baseband board: Digital board based on Texas Instruments’ new TMS320TCI6614 multicore wireless base station System-on-Chip
- RF board: 4x4 MIMO RF board for simultaneous LTE/HSPA+
- LTE: 3GPP release 9 compliant LTE PHY and L2/L3 protocol stack
- HSPA+: 3GPP release 9 compliant HSPA+ PHY and L2/L3 protocol stack(*) supporting both Iub and FAPI interface
