The AZB-NC0M-4304 hardware platform is based on TI TMS320TCl6638K2K that features one of the most advanced and powerful multi-core SoC to run and manage physical layer (L1), L2 and L3 stacks. Access technology specific accelerators provide a simple and reliable way to implement the PHY layer. The high performance SoC is
well suited to implement advanced LTE features like carrier aggregation, higher order MIMO, cross carrier scheduling, co-operative multi point transmission and reception and beamforming. Optimization and acceleration engines are also available on the SoC to optimize the data path, improving overall throughput and capacity of the BBU. The GPU enables embedded implementation of EPC functions and, therefore, realization of a compact LTE NIB solution.
